There are great places to visit near Walsden including Todmorden, Lumbutts and Mankinholes. Walsden also has the highest lock in England. Walsden is home to Gauxholme Viaduct, designed by George Stephenson, built in the 1840s and spans the Rochdale canal. There are some beautiful walks in Walsden including a lovely walk on the canal towpath.
