Brighouse Railway Station Celebrates 25 Years of Service
This week marked a special milestone as Brighouse Railway Station celebrated 25 years since its reopening – a proud moment for the local community and the wider Calder Valley Line.
The celebration event was beautifully organised by the Friends of Brighouse Station, who warmly welcomed guests and provided a generous spread of food and refreshments. Their hard work and dedication to the station truly shone through, and the event reflected the strong community spirit they’ve cultivated over the years.
We at the Calder Valley Line Community Rail Partnership were honoured to be invited to join the celebration and contributed a specially made anniversary cake, enjoyed by all! It was a small but sweet gesture to mark a big occasion.
We’re also grateful to Northern for their continued support and to the Community Rail Network for championing the important work happening across our stations.
Brighouse Station continues to be a vital part of the community – not just a place of travel, but of pride and connection. Here’s to the next 25 years of community rail success!
