Little Life-Savers at Homework Club
Homework Club kicked off the new year with something truly special — a First Aid session just for kids!
Hosted at the New Pioneers Project, the session was designed to introduce lifesaving skills in a fun, engaging and age-appropriate way. From learning how to call emergency services to practising the recovery position, our young learners approached each activity with curiosity, courage and plenty of enthusiasm.
It was heartwarming to see how confident and capable the children became as the session progressed. Of course, there were plenty of giggles and smiles, too — because learning important life skills doesn’t have to be boring!
At NPP, homework support is just the beginning. We believe in nurturing the whole child — building not only academic skills, but also confidence, independence and resilience.
This First Aid session was a fantastic example of how simple experiences can empower children to take responsibility, help others, and feel proud of their abilities. One parent shared, “I never imagined my 7-year-old would come home showing me how to check for breathing – it was amazing!”
We’re so proud of our little life-savers, and we think every child should have the chance to learn First Aid.
