Mindfulness Walk to Manchester
New Pioneers Wellbeing Lab embarked on a very special outing — a Mindfulness Walk to Manchester that brought together a group of inspiring women for a day of reflection, exploration, and connection.
Travelling by train from Rochdale to Manchester Victoria, the journey itself became part of the experience. For several participants, it was their first-ever time on a train — a brave and empowering moment marking new beginnings.
Once in Manchester, the group enjoyed a gentle walk through the city, practicing mindfulness and taking in the sights at a relaxed pace. Each woman received a small, meaningful gift — a reminder that every journey begins with one brave step.
This session was especially important for refugee and asylum-seeking women, many of whom face daily challenges of isolation and uncertainty. The walk offered a safe, supportive space to engage with the community, build confidence, and enjoy new experiences together.
