Calder Valley Line Meets Heywood Art Group
We had the pleasure of spending time with the incredibly talented Heywood Art Group – a local collective filled with creative energy, community spirit, and inspiring ideas.
The visit offered a fantastic opportunity to share our upcoming plans for the Calder Valley Line, learn about the group’s ongoing work, and explore possibilities for future collaboration. The room was buzzing with creativity, and the exchange of ideas highlighted just how powerful community art can be in transforming shared spaces and strengthening local pride.
From station-based exhibitions to public murals and intergenerational workshops, we’re excited about the potential for new projects in 2026 that bring art, people, and place together. These ideas not only celebrate local talent but also reflect our commitment to supporting wellbeing, inclusion, and positive change through community rail.
Thank you to everyone at Heywood Art Group for the warm welcome and open conversation — we can’t wait to see what we can create together in the months ahead.
