Calder Valley Line Station Adopters Quarterly Meeting
On Monday 24th February, we were delighted to host our quarterly Station Adopters meeting at the beautiful Hebden Bridge Station. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring together the passionate volunteers who help keep our stations vibrant, welcoming, and community-focused.
Representatives from Low Moor, Sowerby Bridge, Mytholmroyd, Hebden Bridge, Todmorden, Littleborough, and Smithy Bridge stations joined us to share updates, ideas, and feedback. Their ongoing efforts and enthusiasm make a real impact across the Calder Valley Line, from planting flower beds and creating art displays to keeping stations tidy and engaging with local communities.
We were pleased to welcome guest speakers from Northern Rail and Trans Pennine Express, who provided useful updates and insight into current and upcoming developments on the network. The discussion covered station improvements, passenger experience, and ways we can all work together to enhance travel across the region.
The meeting also included a session on the Calder Valley Line’s growing social media presence. We explored new ways to highlight the excellent work being done at each station and connect with a wider audience through storytelling and community engagement.
A big thank you goes out to all the Station Adopters and our partners who attended and contributed. Your hard work, creativity, and community spirit are the heart of what makes the Calder Valley Line such a special part of our local rail network.
We look forward to the exciting collaborations and projects ahead – and to seeing you all at the next meeting!
