This December, we were thrilled to take part in a heart-warming festive celebration at Hebden Bridge Picture House, marking 200 years of train travel with community, connection, and a touch of Christmas magic.
The afternoon brought people together from across the Calder Valley, with a special welcome for those living with dementia, their families, and carers. Guests enjoyed a cosy screening of The Muppet Christmas Carol, along with tea, coffee, biscuits, and plenty of seasonal cheer.
It was a beautiful reminder of how powerful simple moments can be – sharing a film, a conversation, or a cup of tea – especially during the festive season. Events like these help reduce loneliness, celebrate togetherness, and make our railway communities feel truly connected.
Here’s to kindness, shared journeys, and 200 years of railway travel.
